Introducing : The Ghosting Collection

Illust Space is pleased to present
Ghosting, a traveling exhibition that combines new digital mediums and augmented reality to create a one of a kind show in a world we can see, but not touch. Beginning in May, digital art will come alive in the streets of forgotten alleyways of familiar urban landscapes, all from the palm of your hand.

Each show will be curated by an exhibiting artist, responding to the unique and dynamic surroundings of each city. Artists include Exit Simulation, Fidia Falaschetti, Clara Bacou, Benedict Radcliffe, OG Slick, Christian Venables, and more.

Anyone with a smartphone will be able to interact with these unique works via their browser. All installations will be open to the public and take place outside, where visitors can follow a mapped trail of the exhibition, blurring the lines between our digital and physical selves in this unique age of social distancing.

Ghosting kicks off in Berlin on June 29th,  followed by London, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles throughout the summer. Visit illust.space for more information on each location and exhibiting artists.

PREVIEW

Half in half out, we are straddling a world just out of sight resting at the edge of comprehension. What currently seems like the ghostly imaginings of a fractured mind are solidifying into the shadow we will collectively call the future.

These artists do not promise utopias, or even counter narratives to the shifting uncertainties we face.. but they are out there, just ahead of the horizon, mining that liminal space and contracting spatial responses to the landscapes they find. Ghosting is an invitation to experience artifacts from moments just beyond our reach. Shimmering constructs, symbols and set pieces describing the new paradigm.
