World’s Largest AI Driven AR Art Walk & AR Activated Film Posters @AiFilm3
Balanced Forces, a touring augmented reality art exhibition, will be crafting the world’s largest AI-driven AR art walk in support of the AI Film 3 Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. Works will be displayed through the medium of augmented reality throughout the festival grounds using illust, a browser-based, decentralized, and community driven AR publishing platform. The exhibition will consist of 2 separate AR components:

All submissions must be sent by OCTOBER 26th, 2025 @11:59PM PST.
The augmented reality art walk and AR activated posters will commence at AiFilm3 from October 30th-Â Nov 1st, 2025.
How to Participate
Step 1: Submit to the Artist Open Call on MyPalette
Step 2: Upload digital art work to illust AR Creator Studio
Step 3: Join an information session or a workshopÂ
Step 4: Visit your AR experience in person during AI Film 3 Fest
Step 5: If you can’t make the festival, our team will be on-site to capture photos/videos of your artwork in AR
***Submitted works must use at least one AI driven process to qualify for the show
What to Expect:
- Following your submission to MyPalette, a representative from Balanced Forces or illust will reach out to you on your submission.
- Give yourself 30 minutes – hour to learn how to publish, display, and market your digital art using augmented reality from illust.
- Most importantly: see your work slip off the canvas, drift past the screen, and play in space—your creation will finally get to dance. Have fun.
Balanced Forces is a global public art initiative using augmented reality to make digital art accessible in physical space.
Launched with Art Out Side in Port Moody, BC, in partnership with PoMoArts, illust, Rakkaus, 23 Artists, JBR Visuals and SearchLight, the project transformed a 5km shoreline trail into one of the largest geo-located AR art walks in Canada. Artists from around the world submitted works that were digitally tethered to the landscape, giving residents and visitors an immersive way to experience culture outdoors.
Building on that success, Balanced Forces is now expanding to New York City on September 21, 2025, International Peace Day, with an AR art walk across Midtown Manhattan. This activation invites artists globally—especially those without access to traditional exhibition opportunities, including those in conflict zones or marginalized communities—to share their voices in public space.
Our mission is simple: to dissolve barriers between artists and audiences, to foster cross-cultural dialogue, and to reimagine public art through AR. By situating digital works in real-world contexts, Balanced Forces creates a bridge between creativity, technology, and community, making art more visible, more participatory, and more inclusive. The art itself becomes more tangible—no longer confined to a frame or a wall, but hovers in public space, and lands directly into the viewer’s hand through their phone.
