AR art exhibition

An AR art exhibition presents artworks in augmented reality, placed in a gallery, park, street or across a city, which visitors view through their phones. Because nothing physical has to be built or shipped, AR exhibitions can include dozens of international artists, open in public space and travel between cities.

Recap Show: Balanced Forces NYC - Int'l Day of Peace AR Exhibition Recap of the September 21, 2025 Balanced Forces NYC exhibition, where 50+ artists worldwide shared AR stories about peace for the UN International Day of Peace, with the art walk set up on illust.space.

How it works

Curators set a theme and site, collect works through an open call, place each piece at a chosen spot, then publish a map and signage with QR codes. Opening events, guided walks and on-site photo and video documentation turn the show into something audiences and press can share.

How it works in illust

Balanced Forces has staged six community AR exhibitions on illust since 2025, from Bryant Park on the UN International Day of Peace to Miami Art Week and Vlaardingen in the Netherlands. Curator plans add unlimited curated maps.
